Let our sedation dentistry calm your fears

 In Dental care

Today we would like to speak with you about sedation dentistry, a service we are proud to offer our patients. If you are one of those people who is afraid to see your dentist because of dental anxiety, rest assured, you are not alone! Many people experience dental anxiety, whether from a past experience that left them anxious, or just feeling vulnerable chair side in general. At Every Smile in Chandler, Arizona, we understand this anxiety and want to help you relax. Our goal is to help you feel safe while getting the care you need.

So what is sedation dentistry? The purpose of sedation dentistry is to allow you to get the treatment you need while calming your anxiety and fears to minimize discomfort. We provide a safe environment for you while providing you with quality care. At Every Smile in Chandler, Arizona, we offer nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation to help you feel relaxed and comfortable during your treatment with us.

With nitrous oxide (you may be familiar with this as laughing gas) you will receive a sedative gas mixed with oxygen. All you do is sit back, calmly breathe in the gas while we work, and when the procedure is done the effects wear off and you are good to go. With oral sedation, you simple take a sedative the night before to calm you, and before the treatment procedure, which leaves you calm and comfortable at the time of your appointment. And finally, with IV sedation, we administer calming sedation medication through your veins. Sometimes known as twilight sleep, it is quick and allows us to adjust the sedation levels for you. While you will be relaxed enough to fall asleep during the procedure, you will still be conscious. You just need to have someone with you to drive you home after the procedure.

We hope this helps you feel confident that you will be comfortable during your treatment time with us. If you need to schedule an appointment with one of our dedicated dentists , please call our Every Smile team in Chandler, Arizona at 480-939-3457 today!
